Last year's final was the first ever all-English final in the competition, between English Premier League Champions Man Utd and runners-up Chelsea. The final was not a classic but was certainly far superior to the last time the sides met in a major final, 2007 FA Cup final.

Man Utd started off the much better team and deservedly took the lead through a towering header by goal sensation Ronaldo. The Champions League final is rarely a dull affair, and no doubt the Stadio Olimpico will see some fireworks in May 2009, on or off the pitch.
